Christ Church's congregation gathers to worship according to The Book of Common Prayer, 1979 (http://www.bcponline.org/).

Saturdays, 5 PM: Holy Eucharist, Rite II

This tranquil service lasts 45 minutes. "Holy Eucharist" means that we celebrate Communion by sharing Bread and Wine, preceded by readings from scripture from the New Revised Standard Version of the Bible with a sermon. Prayers for healing, including anointing with oil, occur after Communion. Regular use of music does not currently occur at this service.

Sundays, 8 AM: Holy Eucharist, Rite I

The "Rite I" service includes the traditional language of The Book of Common Prayer as used from the 1500s up to the mid-twentieth century. The scripture readings for this service are from the King James Version of the Bible. As a Eucharist, this service includes a sermon and Communion: the sharing of the Body and Blood of Christ as Bread and Wine. Regular use of music does not currently occur at this service.
