Christ Episcopal Church is a congregation of The Episcopal Church (www.episcopalchurch.org), which is part of the worldwide Anglican Communion (http://www.anglicancommunion.org/). Anglican Christians, including those in The Episcopal Church, understand themselves as but one part of the Body of Christ that is the fellowship of all Christians throughout the world. Our heritage extends back through the Protestant Reformation in 16th-century England, to early Christian missions to Britain in the second century, to the ministry and teaching of Jesus Christ and his disciples as found in the Christian New Testament.
Anglican Christians have rarely formulated doctrinal statements about our beliefs. We consistently follow the pattern of Lex Orandi, Lex Credendi: The rule of prayer is the rule of belief. To learn how we pray, join us for worship according to The Book of Common Prayer (http://www.bcponline.org/).
